  • Lola is a 14.2 hand Haflinger. She is a curious little girl who loves to make new friends. Nothing makes her happier than a pat and some peppermint candies. Lola adores all kinds of attention and loves to have her beautiful mane brushed. Her flashy gaits and spunky personality have already made her a favorite around the barn.

  • This big, easy-going liver chestnut quarter horse is one of the steadiest horses at PALS, taking everything in his wide, relaxed stride. His ears always perk up when his leaders whisper and sing to him as they walk around the arena. Cody Too especially loves taking his riders on trail rides, although he has a hard time resisting the grass and frequently attempts to take little “lunch breaks” along the way. Cody Too’s calm, dependable demeanor makes him a PALS gem.

  • This vocal quarter horse is a liver chestnut registered Quarter Horse. Dew is an ideal horse for our adult riders with his strong stocky build. This foundation bred quarter horse loves to have his nose scratched and always appreciates a nice treat from his volunteers and riders. Dew is on long term loan to PALS from Anne Burd.

  • Patti is an American Quarter Horse Association registered chestnut mare. She has a smooth, even trot and is extremely versatile, working with PALS riders in both English equitation and dressage in the arena before heading out into the sunshine for a trail ride. Patti works hard to keep her riders comfortable and engaged. When she’s not in the arena, Patti loves relaxing and eating clover in the pasture.

  • Walter, a gorgeous bay with four white legs, is a registered Quarter Horse. Tall and leggy, this giant gentleman craves attention. Walter comes to PALS as a youngster, with an incredibly smooth trot and an invigorating yet gentle walk. Due to his easy-going personality, PALS instructors have termed him to be "an old man trapped in a young man's body." Peppermints are his favorite treat, but be sure to share them with his mother, Cookie, another fun and fabulous PALS horse!

  • This beautiful sorrel and white paint is a flashy member of the PALS barn. Cody has a sweet temperament and playful disposition and is always ready to go! He is full of energy and thrives on the attention he receives from his riders and volunteers. Cody loves to bring smiles to the faces of his riders as he carries them around the arena at a trot.

  • Cookie is a striking bay Quarter Horse mare with a perfect star on her forehead. Her cheerful disposition and medium height (15.1 hands) make Cookie perfect for our adult riders. She is as sweet as her nickname implies! Cookie also shares a birthday with two PALS instructors.

  • Chico is a big bay quarter horse gelding who came to the PALS barn in March 2006. Chico was formerly a show horse and competed in everything from western pleasure to dressage, 4H, and even jumping! His striking looks include a big white blaze and two different colored eyes, one brown and one blue. Chico loves to have his ears scratched and anxiously awaits getting peppermint treats from the riders and volunteers.

  • Eeyore joins the PALS team from West Virginia where he was a lesson pony. He has shown low level dressage and hunters but his favorite activity is cross-country jumping. With more advanced riders, Eeyore can easily jump 3'. He has a super fun, bouncy trot that makes his riders laugh. At 13.1 hands, Eeyore is one of the smallest horses at PALS, making him ideal for young riders.

  • This palomino quarter horse gelding is the PALS resident joker. A former reining show horse champion, Tee loves to be in the spotlight, and the goofy faces he makes keep everyone at PALS laughing. One of Tee’s favorite hobbies before coming to PALS was herding cows, and he can be seen out in the pasture trying to continue his hobby by herding the other PALS horses. Tee also has a sweet tooth and loves to eat apples and other sweet treats. He is a very social fellow and loves the attention he gets from all the volunteers and riders at PALS.

  • Brynja is a Norwegian Fjord horse mare who came to PALS from Lebanon, Ohio. She loves hugs and pats, and her big brown eyes and sweet disposition have made her a new favorite at the barn. Brynja is light brown with a dorsal stripe that also runs through her spunky "mohawk" mane. Her smaller size, at 13.3 hands, makes her perfect for the smaller riders at PALS.
